My portrait sessions (and myself in general) have always been a bit extra. I'm kind of known among my photography friends as the over-the-top photographer to go to if you want a little creative and crazy mixed in with your classic and timeless. This has never been truer than with my Class of 2019 High School Seniors. Monday morning I started a session with Maddie Z feeding giraffes at our local zoo, holding a snake and hanging out with two rhinos (don't worry, this was three different portrait setups, NOT all at once). Three and a half hours later we ended her session with underwater portraits taken at the country club pool. Treading water is hard. I forgot just how hard it is! By lunchtime Maddie, myself, her mother and my husband (who was assisting me while Amanda has been on vacation in the Carribean) were all dead tired and famished. BUT. IT. WAS. WORTH. IT.
